hey there,

you will have a great time in Bansko! Ski schools usually meet at the top station around 10am, my advice is be at he gondola earlier, say 9 and you'll probabky get a run or two in before you meet up. We usually go up around half 8 and it's fine, pretty much walk straight on. Bear in mind it takes around 25mins in the gondola so it will get horrendously busy soon after 9 because of ski schools but once you're up the mountain queues are usually minimal for other lifts.

When are you out?

Yeah - instructors from the Ski Schools normally meet folks at the top Gondola Station - be aware that there is a mid-station on the way up - you might be tempted to get out here, but just stay in the Gondola until you get to the top. Once you exit the station you should see a large sign with a map of the ski runs about 20 or 30 metres in front of you (or slightly off to the left) - instructors typically meet in this area...

As Rach has pointed out, if you go up a little earlier in the morning the queues are much, much smaller - the Gondola itself typically takes around 20-25 minutes to get from the top to the bottom.

If in doubt, speak to someone at the Ski School Smile

Hi all,

Thanks for replies, sounds like good advice (note to self: take alarm clock!).

We are going last week of Feb...27th, I think!. It's not a holiday in UK but believe there may be a day or 2 for Bulgarians.

Should be no problems with gondola queues around those dates, apart from maybe 09.30 - 10.00, could be up to 15mins Razz
Hopefully the other resorts will have snow then, and not be all over here Wink

Hey we're going on the 9th of march. Just wondered if the snow will be any good and what the ques will be like. I have read some really bad reviews and quite worried now. Not enrolled in ski school so any advice on best times to get up there? Thanks. Very Happy

Mr Snell do you really think that there will be many English tourists there for half term ? Hardly any at New Year.
