just for info as off 29/12/07. the exchange rate at the kiosk in bulgaria was 2.62 v GBPon the high street travel agent uk , many of them r offering around the 2.30 mark with the so called bonus of commission free

That is a joke, deffinately better to get it in Bulgaria, I have always found going to the Bank in Chepelare is the best way. Always get a better rate there than in the resort, but 2.30 is an insultre: thats bad
Its been 2.79 for the last 4 years at least, I thought the pound wasnt doing so good at the moment so we were looking forward to a better exchange rate!

That was last yr Phillipf..Look at a thread below in resrt is about 2.66..
M&S are 2.56 lev ...I've not seen it as low as 2.30 anywhere..
The Lev is based against the Euro bibby not the £

the 2.30 s are at rip off money exchange offices. The banks are safer. or just use the atms
