just a quickly update type of thing about the cheap outerwear from Aldi.

because the weather was so bad here yesterday (howling wind and lashing rain) we wore our Aldi bought coats out to test.

hurray - stayed dry and toasty warm!

we'll be fine!

See they are even more of a bargain than you first realised. I just sorry that you have had to test them out in the UK. Is it really that bad there at the moment?

It was very rough "Up North Yesterday, howling winds and rain, lots of rivers burst their banks, Carlisle was cut off for a spell very rough!

weather has been atrocious, there's plenty of garden furniture no longer in gardens, slates off roofs and of course the obligatory uprooted trees across roads...we got off lightly though.

3 confirmed dead in Cumbria, worst floods in Carlisle, there's a ferry beached up in Cairnryan - it looks very grim indeed!

We thought it would be a good day to get acclimatised for BG and went to the dry slope in Sheffield. What a day! We were being blown back UP the slopes!

We tested ours the first year we skiied as well so you're not quite as sad as you first thought!!

Glad you feel happier now. Bargains aren't they!
