Everyone calm down ! I was in Borovets this time last year and can assure everyone it WAS white. My nephew is there NOW and is going snowboarding tomorrow - a local friend who happens to be a ski guide says it WILL snow overnight/tomorrow. The sking is good up the gondola (borovets) so RELAX - see you on the slopes !!!

so it snowed last year,that means it will this year ? i had 2 visits to boro in the 90's with no snow all week

Samokov is below Boro so whats the surprise there as each time i have been to Boro you go through Boro town and there is not no snow BUT when you go a bit further up the mountain into the resort there it is.
So for the doubters go to fernie or wherever and find a site that talks about the fantastic time you will have but as far as this site goes just Pi## off and leave us be as we were fine before you stuck your nose in and we will be even better when you have gone !

Boroveteran - I was referring to a previous post when someone said they had been there and the runs were green - we went out on the 16th December and can assure you we had brilliant conditions. No, it has no reflection on this year but I can assure EVERYONE that the snow is there on the upper slopes. I really can't see the point in being so negative - what will be will be - there WILL be skiing in Borovets, it may be a gondola rise away. Happy holidays !!!
