re-cap tipping please

Could I be a real pain and ask for recaps about tipping, who, when and how much? Will be at the Murgavet in 10 days time. We are a family group of 5 adults and 2 smaller one on our 1st trip - do we tip as a group or individually?

I think your question was more about tipping your instructor if I am not mistaken.

That is entirely up to you, but if you are a group and you have enjoyed your week, surely you would expect to tip more than a single individual Question

10 levs per person would be my suggestion. Not going to break the bank but it wopld make an instructor very happy.

re: re-cap tipping please

Thanks Pete - Ski instruction would be the main one, what other people tend to receive tips - do people usually say "keep the change" as they do here?

Also can I ask you if you've had experience of the pool, is it as cool as I've heard and what does the fitness room consist of?

See you there soon, I'm the one with my hubbies 40th birthday on the same day as you wifes -though he's not much of a party animal -------------yet!!

re: re-cap tipping please

Tips are a major part of a Bulgarians income, and they do appreciate being made to feel that they have served you well.

In most resturants you wout pay until it is time to leave. Then they add up all the slips of paper they have left on your table.

This bit is quite comical as they seem not to have a clue what you have had in most places, and they end up asking you.

As a group we usually leave about 1 lev per person for lunch.

Usually about 8 or so of us so thats a generous ...
