Re rip off

I was stating from our experience this year that most of the bars we went in tried to charge you for things you hadnt had or overcharged you on things you had. I had not experienced this on my previous visits. I was disapointed . In my experience this year the prices had gone up and not just due to the exchange rate.

Re Buzz Bar

I think people who are going to Borovets this season deserve to be warned about the downside to the resort . I know i would have been grateful of prior warning .

Again i agree nowhere is perfect . Bulgaria is not perfect . A perfect place with a perfect government would not treat children the way they do in the many orphanages.

I am a supporter of this site and of the country . I have donated monies and items to the orphanage and will continue to do so.

I am sorry if my experience offend people and give them the impression i am a liability .

Wooah Lizzie, your experiences have not offended me. just to get things clear, i'm going to Borovets for the first time this weekend and was slightly shocked to read some of the comments that have been posted recently, especially having had such a great time in Pamps last year (my first time to Bulgaria). I was meerly suggesting that i'm not surprised you have not been put off taking holidays all together. Sounds like you had a very torrid time. My feeling, personally, is that your holiday / night out is what you make of it.

Re: Rip off, i personally check what i'm being charged for before i pay (as do most others i would imagine). if i'm being charged for something i haven't had, i don't pay. simple. point out to the staff their mistake, move on.

Re: Buzz bar, i meerly suggested that such behaviour is not uncommon in teenage boys (i used to be one). It seems to be that case that the victims in this instance are all relatively young men / teenagers etc. There's a reason for that, they don't know when to stop, spiked drinks / dodgy booze or otherwise. The scum of society might like to take advantage of this and steal their money / phones etc. Unfortunately, theres an awful lot of people like thata round, not just in the buzz bar and not just in bulgaria. We all know that, and as such, should all take realtively good care of ourselves when out and about and not leave our seles vulnerable to the few, mindless criminals.

I thank you for your comments about the buzz bar and will probably stay clear of it next week. I hope your son has fully recovered and i'm sure he's learnt a valuable lesson.
