Olly I'm going to Bansko on March 06, 2004 hopefully you will post a review on your stay in the ski resort on your return.

I have booked accomodation before hand so sorry that I cannot help further.

Hope you have a great time

re: recomend accomodation in Bansko?

had a look at their site..if you ask me their place is very very overpriced.
I had very nice hotel accomadation in Pamporovo for less than that last year.
It seems they are appeailing to Brits abroad who they assume don't know any better and will pay over the odds.

Very unimpressed

re: recomend accomodation in Bansko?

Hi Olly, Try the hotel Avalon, newly opened this year, run by James its 36 euro for a double (ensuite I think) and 5 euro per person per night tax (but you'll pay that everywhere) including tax comes to about £33 for two no food included. It's a lovely place about a five minute walk from centre of town and he runs a mini bus up to the gondula. you can book through this site, say hello from Joy and Simon if you go there
