resort tax

Hi all, i have just read that when you go direct with a hotel they add resort tax and a couple of other charges onto the price of your rental, so my question is when you arrange your accomodation with a private vender ie an english investor do you pay these extra charges to the owner or the complex management. not really worried about this but would like to know in case of any suprises when i book in.

We just got back last week and had arranged our apartment with a rental company, and didn't pay any taxes!!

we include the tourist tax in our advertised prices for private accomodation, i think everyone does

If owners are legitimate and declare income from there apartment, and r registered with the tax man and tourist board etc, then you will pay tourist tax. Normally to the owner if booking direct, but if managed by the complex, then payable to the complex management, which as stated above will be incorporated in the overall price.

Hi, yes the tourist tax is included in our prices.It is handled by the management company on our behalf.
