deposit boxes are the safest option going.
I crashed in the room (of a couple of friends) in a hotel about 2-3 ago and during the night we were woken up by a disturbance in the night. A guy had made his way into a room of sleeping guests and was in the process of rifling thru' their things when he woke them up. The guy was caught, but it must have been a living nightmare for the people concerned. The police were called etc etc. Seeing the way the burlger was leaded way, the hotel took ...

Don't let yourself be fooled into thinking your valuables are safe in your room just because you are there. Lessons to be learned here, 1. Use a Deposit box, you don't want to spoil your holiday and 2. Lock your door at night when you go to bed. Don't let an isolated incident spoil your holiday, get a deposit box.
