Is the Russian Christmas celebrated much in Bulgaria, any customs that we should know about if going next week?

Lots of infuence there, until the 60's I think Bulgaria did the same and Russians I believe frequent Borovets for the same reasons we do..

Russian visit yes but more influence from the Turks in the south. Just look in the Rhodope mountains Smolyan to Kurdjali for example.
