I urge everyone to think about wearing a helmet this season.
Late last season I saw a terrible accident that has changed my view on ski safety head gear.
An out of control boarder (not blaming boarders, so please don't think its a dig) crashed into a ski instructor. In the collision they clashed heads. Goorey details aside it was a air lift to hospital and a touch and go few days in hospital and 3 monrhs off care and hospital visits back in the UK before he was back on his feet.

We put our kids in helmets and get insured up to the eyeballs but I for one have never ever worn a helmet. I will be this year.
Stay safe peeps

i started wearing one last season not so much for the safety side but its good to keep your goggles on an they keep your head warmer than a hat! just bought one from aldi... good quality too!
so now i can have a few more and take boarders out on the slopes with a safe and warm head
Never worn one myself but I think this year I will. Taking my girls on their first ski holiday so should set the right example. I guess it's like biking, you don't have any control over other road users.
Steve,
Did the same, never worn one but when we took the kids for the 1st time really had to wear them as kids wouldn't if we didn't!
Have to say best thing we did, wouldn't be without mine now...... always hated hats, keep your head warm easy to wear goggles with and generally make me feel a little bit more secure.
As has been said before, you can be the best skier ever, but its everyone else you need to worry about!
