Family ski holiday next week in Pamps. One adult and two children (aged 9 and 12 respectively) are beginners. Other adult (me) not very confident intermediate. Will all the beginners be put in same ski groups or are there separate groups for kids and adults? Is a 12 year old a kid or an adult in Pamps? Do groups have lunch together? How do I keep track of the kids whereabouts at lunchtime? Do the kids wear helmets in lessons. Loadsa questions - can anyone help?
groups split into 2 at first (beginner and those who have skiied before), but if you want you can drop a group to be with beginner family members. Then intermediate group is split into max of 3 groups depending on competence after a test. Kids over 8 are classed as adult with regards to groups
Hi
We had Nathan a fab 8 year old with us last week, His dad Seb was a v good skier (lost one on the wall so skied of mountain on one ski) so after speaking to the group (beginners) & the instructor he skied off and Nathan stayed with us. Nathan did not have a helmet. Also Linzi in our group had 2 children in kindergarden with Nathans brother so Seb knew Nathan would be safe. The only problem was the fact that lots of the kids had the same Aldi ski gear on so they all looked the same so we kept track of Nathan by his ski hat.
Debs,
As all the others have said, you can drop a group, however for the first 2 days most beginners will be at the bottom of the mountain, so you can always ski back to the bottom to see them at lunch time. by day 3 they should be up top, to the right at the top of the 3 man lift is where they will be.
Don't forget the posters meet in BJ's on Monday night 14th!!!
