ski package

Hi All.

Me & my hubby have booked a ski package. I'm a little worried that ive heard that the ski lessons are 10 -12 and 2 -4 in Boro.
I knew that it was 4 hrs a day, but thought that they would all be together, no split into morning & afternoon.
Wouldnt normally be worried about anything, but surely this doesnt give you much time to do anything else Exclamation

re: ski package

Most of the instructors are flexible with the start and finish times, ask for Rumen, he was ours and was so much fun, didn't expect you to pay for his meals and would recommend the best of everything to you.

We would normally get started at 9.30am finish for lunch at 11.30am start again at about 1pm and finish at 3pm.

Do remember to get everyone in your ski group to do a collection for your instructor at the end of the week, they are really poorly paid by the companies they work for ...

The 4 hours for lessons doesn't include the longish break for lunch which is taken with your ski group in a restaurant on the slopes. All the ski instructors get lunch in every restaurant free of charge so don't think they are only taking you somewhere because it is free for them!!

If you are a beginner you will probably find you want to stay in your group - safety in numbers and all that! I know some people went off after lunch to do their own thing others didn't. Instructors ...

I'm sure you will enjoy and if there is anything you don't like or are not sure about then it is best to talk honestly to your instructor - they are genuinely wanting to make your holiday special for you so let them know if you're not getting what you expect.

Hope this helps

re: ski package

I personally agree with Nikkiski. I would much rather have a solid 4 hour block of lessons (e.g. 9am - 1pm). Ths would leave the afternoon free for those who (like me) want to put into practice what they have learnt in the morning with a bit of solo skiing. And those who want to explore a bit of the culture etc could ski in the morning and sightsee later in the day.

2 hours skiing, 2 hours linc, 2 hours skiing does not strike me as the best use of a day! I for one am capable of going ...

Your on hoilday, go with the flow, enjoy the banter, the laughs, you don't have to eat, drink a bottle of water or hot choc and brandy is good. you can learn just as much about technique from talking with your group as putting it into practice, relax and have fun Wink

re: ski package

I need a sit down and rest my weary pins after several hours on skis. Oh and you have to allow at least 20 minutes per woman in your party to spend a lev and do a pee - lots of layers to get off you know Wink

Enjoy, I'm sure you will
