ski service

has anybody had their skis serviced while on holiday in bansko.if so could you tell me do there do a good job,how long do there take and what do there charge.as in the past i have always had them serviced while on holiday due to the workmanship and cost (cheaper than back home) cheers

Waxing and edging ?? should be around 30lv. The Ulen hire at the gondola has a machine, nice job... the local hires tend to do it by hand but again heard no complaints...

Most places won't touch my Rossignol Bandits because of what they are made of. No idea why - perhaps they can't use a machine. Anyway, there was one store on the main street just opposite the gondola that did them. An OK job, nothing like you would get from Austria or France. Drop them in after skiing and pick them up first thing in the morning. About 25/30 leva.

Mat, i must admit that they won't touch my K2's, they seem to have an aversion to fat twin tips... no problem, i do my own

thanks for your coments guys,having second thoughts now.wouldnt want anybody to do a botch job on my skis.i will take them to my local ski club.

do my own, trouble is im not going to be taking all the kit on hols!! wil do for race week but its a bit too heavey otherwise!! cant see what the problem is with twin tips, and id rather they were done by hand as the machine will get through your base!!

The jig is not wide enough to mount the ski supposably, dunno mate, but they didn't want to

Husband had his serviced in Bansko as took a chip out of the bottom, Very good job could hardly see where they had mended them.
