You have choice .
The reps will tell you to leave your gear in "SKI DEPOT RILA" which is right at the front of the hotel at the bottom of the slopes in the most perfect position.
The only problem the place is a zoo between 9.30 and 10am(when everyone goes to ski school)And everyone goes to ski school !!. We had 5 kids to sort out each morning and walking around in socks trying to find a place to sit down and put your boots on was just too streesfull (You leave your normal shoes in the depot while you ski).
So like many others who were staying in the Rila we kept our gear in our hotel room got changed there and used the lifts(stairs are a little tricky in ski boots ). Worked great!
Tip on day one have a ski lift pass holder(the ones with the extendable string) with you if you dont you will end up buying one in the ski hire place at 5 lev a shot(£2) total rip off.
Tip on the Sunday morning when you pick ur skis up get there at 8.30.
If you take your ski's to your room you dont get your shoes back!!
Also keep an eye on your ski's when you go into Bars & Restraunts, as we were there last week and had a pair of ski's stolen, from the back of the snowplough taxi it cost us £190.00 ouch!!!
To get your shoes back tell the guys you are going night sking and you need your shoes and that your keeping your skis in your room until the following day. they dont mind. Its less work for them .
