ski tuition prices

I am a bit confused re tuition prices. I looked up Interski (recommended on here) and they charge 60 euros for 3 hours private tuition. On Pamporovo resort site (mentioned in earlier thread) the cost for 3 hours is 58 leva.
Why such a difference???

re: ski tuition prices

I am only guessing that with Interski you are paying for private tuition whereas with the resort site prices you are paying for group lessons.
!st year we had 18 in our group aged from my daughter at 7 up to a 60 year old.
next year we went with Inerski and had 1 instructor to the 4 of us, worth every penny (or lev!).
Friends who came with us (1st timers) were skiing the green run after lunch on the 1st day while the skischool groups were all still learning to walk sideways!

You pays your money and takes your choice.

re: ski tuition prices

Just read your post 3 times and am really confused, It looks like the massive difference you are mentioning is 80 pence. At MK yesterday i saw that ONE hour private one on one ski tuition was £150, I know which I would rather pay Wink

a first time skier came with us last year..he had the first day and the second morning with a private instructor..
this is him on the second afternoon..http://youtube.com/watch?v=lS01_Yyx3mI

franz klammer hes not..but after about 8 hours tuition hes not doing bad..

re: ski tuition prices

Thanks for your replies, however the 58 leva. was for "individual classes". ??? I am asking because my son and friend will probably need lessons I would agree that we would rather spend more if the instructor is good but this is a huge difference

Love the post from Simonski, 7 - 60 in your group - does this mean one is never too old to learn ? I would love to learn to ski but not sure if my muscles could take the strain Crying

re: ski tuition prices

The old lady in question had gone along to keep her 15 yo grandson company for the week, but he was a good skier so was off during the day doing his own thing!
Agree its a really game thing to do AND she was a real good laugh!

re: ski tuition prices

It may sound a lot but it is worth it, also don't go with the "ski school" that the tour operators push when you book your holiday, and the reps have to push while you are on holiday, I have seen how they operate and the tuition is poor to say the least, in Pamps take lessons with the ski hire place below the Markony Hotel 160lev 1 to 1 for four hours, if you are wanting to snowboard go next door to the Snow Shack (I forget the price, but in 2007 it was 55lev 1 to 1 for two hours, I don't ...
