skiing or boarding???

im a skier, thats been stupidly persuaded to do boarding for the week. Is it easier or harder to grasp than skiing? I ski blue/red normally, am worried ill waste whole week on nursery slopes.

re: skiing or boarding???

Its harder to pick up the basics than skiing but once you get the basics it becomes a lot easier. If you go at it for a full day you should have it down enough to tackle the bigger runs.

re: skiing or boarding???

as snowboard teacher i can recommand :try boarding,... Its less technical than skiing, the basics can be learned in 5-6 hours (but take some lessons), the beginning is a bit harder as booth feeth are attached to your board to get up and find your balance, but once you mastered this , the learning process goes much faster! Ater a day or 2 you will be able to take the bigger blue runs ;-) and enjoy the freedom of boarding!
