skis and cafes

Hi

We have never been sking before, well I haven't anyway and I just wondered what you do when you want to go in a cafe. Obviously I guess you take your skis off and leave boots on but do you then have to carry your skis around inside.

May seem like a silly question but I've never been sking before.

Thanks

Mel x

re: skis and cafes

normally you leave them propped outside there are rack things that you can pop them in - not known them to get nicked or anything Smile

re: skis and cafes

nah it is all very trusting - it's more likely that you forget where you propped them if like me you think they all look quite similar! Very Happy

Had my poles taken (once in 15 yrs!!). That was sure fun trying to ski back without poles!

re: skis and cafes

just remember the chances are if your skis have been stolen the person who took them will have left a pair behind, also the boots have to fit the bindings so not as easy as you thing to take them. I believe poles are more of risk and have known people to take a better pair of poles and leave theirs in there place but if your hiring shouldnt be a problem.

re: skis and cafes

My daughter had her ski's taken from outside a bar last year. They were on the back of that snowplough taxi thing, we were assured by our instructor and the driver that it would be ok for the group to leave them there whilst we went inside. It was very inconvenient not to mention very costly.(380 lev) We also know that ours were not the only ones to go missing that week, the rep said ours were the third pair that week.
