sledge hire?

Can you hire a sledge in Borovets? If yes, where and for what price?
Thank you!
Off in the morning, can't wait! Smile

At the bottom of the Rila slope, from a couple of the restaurants to the side.

Last season we paid 5lev for 1 hour 'ish to 10 lev for the evening. Get to know the guys and eat or drink there a few times and they either do a good deal or don't charge at all. Sledges took the weight of adults and you can get a really good speed up. Very Happy

re: sledge hire?

We take bum boards as they are easy to pack but my lads prefer the sledges as they have metal runners and steering wheels. They climb up past the end of the drag/pom lift and if there's enough snow, end up at the Rila windows.

Noticed there's a small hill been built on the slope that little ones have been using for sledging.

Have fun Very Happy

re: sledge hire?

Yep as borogirl says there is a hire place near the Crown pub but we drank in there most afternoons after returning skis to the depot and the old guy just used to drag one down for the kids. Obviously it was necessary for us adults to test these out - purely for safety reasons of course. They go hellishly fast if you can be bothered to drag it mid way up the red floodlit slope and it's one form of transport for which it's OK to Booze and drive/skid/slide whatever you want to call it.
