smolyan nr pamps

hi on a post a while ago someone mention they had a good night out in smolyan nr pamps

whats it like, whats there to do?

how much to pay taxi?

where should we ask to be dropped off?

There are some great restaurants in Smolyan, about half the price of the ones in Pamporovo + we have always been made very welcome there,
I gather that the prices have been brought down for taxis, probably best to try and agree a price.

Some of the hotels in Smolyan offer to come and pick you up from Pamporovo and return you afterwards - obviously very keen to get you over there.
Yes there are some great restaurants there - we always go down for a night or two. Not taken a taxi as we usually drive ourselves so no idea on cost. I'll try and find out for you.

Many of the locals speak very good English or if not know someone who can. They are very friendly and helpful and make you really welcome. Agood restuarant, which has a varied menu, is Venus. They have karaoke on Friday nights I think and there are also a couple of nightclubs.

Get to know the basics and you will be ok.

It would be 25 euros in a taxi from Middle of Pamporovo to Smolyan I am reliably informed.
