snow blades

Would anyone fancy spending a week on these or do you really need to alternate between skis?
Are blades real hard work to keep under control?

I spent a week last year on them in fact i have been using blades for 3 years now. I like them better than ski's although if you do have a big wipe out it can lead to nasty injuries.I tore my medial ligament last year in Boro. Then again i'm a thrill seeker and like speed and use them down the black runs. They are very easy to get the hang of and really easy to transport. Once you use blades you won't go bck to skis. Make sure you get a good pair that are wide and twinned tipped if poss. ...
