snow blades

Hi just back from Borovets great time.

I am thinking of trying blades next time. Can anyone tell me if it similar to skiing? Is it faster or slower?
Thanks

re: snow blades

It is similar to skiing. Like ordinary skiis you can go as fast or as slow as you like. I changed to them 3 years ago and wouldn't change back.

re: snow blades

make sure they have they have normal ski bindings as they release where as some blades are straped to you leg which can be dangerous.

as above you will pay normal ski carriage, if you have normal skis though they should fit in your ski bag and you will only pay one carriage.

sorry karen posted my answer to the wrong post!!! think its time for a drink!!! Booze

If you havent tried blades before I would higher some before you buy, I personally dont like them, the technic needed is a lot less, easier to turn but I just prefer normal skis.

re: snow blades

Instead of putting your blades out of reach i'd hire them instead!
