snow cannons??

Arriving in Borovets on 26th December, and am now getting slightly worried about the lack of snow, and the fact that none is forecast, at least till Monday!!!
Does anyone know anything about the snow cannons, will they generate enough snow to guarantee us some skiing??Don;t want to spend all week in a bar!!!!!

Loopy have a look at the web cams at www.myborovets.com the nursery area which you can see on cam 1 and 3 is punished with a lot of snow ploughs but you can bet its fab at the top. The trees have loads of snow on them. im sure that someone in resort will give you an update soon,... The cannons were on the other night just before the opening bash but the temp has to be just right for the cannons to work properly. Anyway go and enjoy, save a bit of snow for us on 6th Feb.

The snow conditions are terrible frankly. There's a daily weather page on that site ... not good at all.

The problem with the cannons (and they've vastly increased the number of them this year) is that it needs to be about -4 before they can be used.

It only got to -1 at 1am last night & it's 10 degrees currently

ohhh that's not good news, it's actually colder currently here in the UK!!!
but from what i can see on the forecast it's due to snow Sunday and Monday, and get quite a bit colder!!
Here's hoping!!!!
