you could be pushing it that late but sometimes you get good snow, possibly wouldnt be able to ski to the bottom near the gondala, check out the webcam archives will give you an idea
Its the end of the season, so first thing in the morning its hard and icy, then you have a 'golden hour' or so of perfect snow around 10 and it gets progressively softer until by 1400 you're in the bar. However, as the sun progresses over the mountain, you can ski the sheltered areas later to make the most of it. Forget the ski road, but bring plenty of sun tan cream as its often T-shirt weather.
Mat hit the nail on the head regarding the snow conditions. The plus side of that time of year is that the slopes are nice and quiet as the season has ended for most of the tour operators. However, as there will be so many more apartments ready this year, there may be more people there at that time than in past years.
Thanks for the responses! I looked up at the snow history for bansko for the past 5 years, and strangley enough the most snow coverage is in march. I couldnt find temperatures though. I can move the vacation to first week of march as well. When is the british vacation (im coming from israel) Nothing personal, but I would like to avoid the rush!
If you want to avoid the rush, take a gamble and stick to the end of March. That time last year wasn't so good, but neither was most of the season! The year before was brilliant conditions well into April, and that started off in a similar way to this season, with some great snow from mid November...
