Hi,

if it wasnt to sonw again this season would the current snow 100cm lower slopes be enough to last the season?

re: snow cover in boro!

Err, depends on the temps?

If it stays below freezing, then no problem....

re: snow cover in boro!

I bloody hope so as we are going there in March! Very Happy
I heard that the alps have had the most snow for a decade so from that we can assume it will last longer this year.
But have you checked the old web cam archives for march over the last few years?
Definatley seems that the first two weeks of march are ok, it still does snow.
But by the end of march your looking at grass !!!

re: snow cover in boro!

I looked at the historical snow fall for 1st week in march, over last ten years. On average, higher base level then 1st week in Jan.

....less then a month to go and counting....!!

re: snow cover in boro!

if it gets about 20C it will melt. So far it has been freezing. I am still in Sofia and every night the T is around -8 -9. It has not gone above freezing during the day either. On the slopes they are talking -10 to -20. So another 6 weeks, there is every chance that no new snow will be required.
