snow in march

can anyone tell me what the snow is like in march is it still goodre: snow in march
we went on the 13 th to pamps, it was getting ropey.bottom of the green was c##p the top of the red and black where getting bad towards the end of the week.
was hotter than normal i got told.
doubt if i would go back in march again

JamieWe went to Borovets 06-03-2004 to 13-03-04 and it was a bit icy to start, but we had about a foot of snow mid week.
This made for superb skiing on or off piste.
We were lucky though as it had been very warm in February and a lot of people thought the season was going to be cut short.
We have already booked to go back next year 05-03-05 to 12-03-05.

we went to pamporovo on the 6th march and it was a bit icey. up top it wasnt too bad but then we had a massive drop on the 8th or 9th and it was amazing!! really dry powder! turned the black runs into a proper playground for the rest of the week. we're thinking of going at the same time next year as the clouds were so good to us!!

Jamie I was in Pamps the same time as Carl this year. I always go out around 14th March. Reason I do this is because I like a quieter resort. I first went in 98 then 99 Had loads and I mean loads of snow. Went back 2001 same time very poor conditions by the 2nd day of the holiday you could not ski to the bottom. This year there was plenty when we got there but it was hot! So by the end of week it was poor but you could still just make it to the bottom. This period seems to be a bit of a hit ...

This period seems to be a bit of a hit and miss mate so if you like a packed resort with busy bars then I would advise going early however if like me you like it a little bit slower then hey take a chance!
