snow or no snow

After a few years of ski, picking the right place at the right time is like booking a summer hol. you can go to the warmest place and find that you have the worst weather ever.

With ski you need fresh snow, we all know that. The first time I went skiing there was little snow and it was very warm, I was drinking beer in the sun I had to take most layers off down to the Tshirt and the local display said it was 21o it was warmer than gran canaria. However the nights went cold, so the top layer of snow became ice, this was so difficult to ski on. Also the snow became sticky and like slush again very difficult to ski on. Then few days later it snowed fantastic.
The last time was perfect enough fresh snow to cut into but was very cold.
On the other hand too much snow shuts the lifts so you cant ski while it drops, also becomes very difficult to see where you are going. Just be prepared for a few days of no ski just like in the summer when its overcast or raining, it your holiday and its a great break from work.

P.sLast year there was so much snow fall The aiport was closed so had to fly to another one. Alos look at the olimpics, little snow then the super G was stoped due to the snow fall.

Was told that conditions up the gondola are fantastic so up there we all go..re: snow or no snow
My friend lives in Pamps and he says he is still ski-ing every day, the snow is melting but they expect some more soon so not to worry..... - but I am worried!!!!
I go on the fourth so it has two weeks to snow - everything is crossed.come on snow - do a big dump
