Hi everyone,
Going to Boro (from Belgium) for a week from 23/01 on a full package (board and boots hire incl, but definitely bringing my own boots), I was wondering whether to take my own board along. It seems the airline (Bulgarian) is charging extra for it so I'm hesitating. On the other hand, I'm a bit wary of the quality of hired boards so I'd appreciate any feedback!

Also, we 're staying at the Hotel Royal and can't get much information on it. For example, one site says it has an outdoor swimming pool and others don't mention it. What's the deal ? One last thing, if you know this hotel, is the ski shuttle operating only during the day or also at night (and if not, do you have any idea how much the taxi fare would be?).
Thanks a lot!
I was in Borovets for Christmas, the snowboard I rented was good quality, but one of the guys on my snowboard lesson got a crap board, he brought it back later in the week and they exchanged it for an excellent board.
The slopes were quite rocky when I was there, there might be more snow there now, but you should watch if you do bring your own board that you dont damage it.
ok, I guess we'll save ourselves the trouble of bringing our own boards and the risk of damaging them and just hope we get good ones over there! Thanks for your post!

Hi,
I noticed you stayed in the Royal in Borovets. Me and my partner are going their and I was wondering what the hotel was like - also food, rooms, ski equipment ect and did the rooms have a kettle (wondering whether to bring our hot water bottles!).
Thanks
