We still had a good time and it was nice to be on snow again, but i just felt it should have been better considering the place had such a good rep!
Hi Paul, I visited MK last October with 8 other family members, we too had the same experience, very icy and holes on the drag lift. Only consulation was that it was late at night, not crowded and we were skiing until they threw us out.
I go to the dome 2 or 3 times a month and more often than not its in OK condition. Hi
I go to the dome 2 or 3 times a month and more often than not its in OK condition. Part of the problem, is that because its in the middle of the out of season period, the slope maintenance becomes poor, because its less busy (less revenue to pay for the maintenance staff and to have the cannons running)and a lot of there business comes from toboggoning, which isn't as sensitive to the slope condition
If you go up there, just after a competition, its amazing,(as amazing as an indoor slope can be) because they have a big sort out for the comp and get the snow cannons going full pelt and clear all the hard rubbish of.
All i can say is that its not always like that, but thats no excuse, because a lot of the improvements could be made easily, quickly and cheaply!
