storage in borovets

histaying at samokov hotel for 1st time skiing. this may be a stupid question but do you leave the hotel in your ski boots or do you carrythem with you to the lifts? if you carry them to get changed is there storage for when you are skiing during the day?

STayed at the Samokov in 2003. The ski depot is in the hotel basement. You collect your ski boots and skis from there. Put your boots on and hand your shoes to the attendant. It's all very well organised if a bit of a scramble first thing.
You then walk to the slopes carrying your skis over your shoulder - its about 200 metres at the most.
You can take skis and boots in and out at any time when the depot is open so you can even enjoy the floodlit night skiing (you need an extra lift ass ...

Hi Lynne,Ski and boot storage is in the basement of the samokov hotel next to the night club.
You have chosen a great hotel, I've stayed there for the last 7 years.
Going on 22nd Jan, when you going?

We kept our own boots in our rooms and carried them down to the ski depot in the basement. Then left our shoes when we collected our hire skis. They don't like you wearing ski boots in the hotel. Great hotel, stayed there for last two years.Don't forget your purple dinner/ski jacket though! Paul M will let you have a really tasty tie dyed number, I should think he'll sell it cheap!!
