summer skiing Europe?

In responce to something mentioned on another post- spent ages trying to find out where to ski in Europe during the Summer- all be it on limited pistes and probably only in the mornings given how warm it will be at altitude- having difficulty finding any details?
has anyone any advice on where to look etc
Know Le dux Alpes offers it but cant find details!
Thanx in advance hopefully Very Happy

We go to xscape at castelford but like you say the piste is limited, sheffield ski village is bigger but its a dry slope.

Ian try Zell am Zee/Kaprun or Cyprus. If all else fails try further afield - New Zealand Exclamation Very Happy Very Happy

Or Tamworth in May Very Happy

Cyprus! never thought of that like!- can get flights ok to France or Austria so thought they would be the easier to arrange car hire to resort etc?- Probably end up not going, just wondering how much it would price out at (given what a week away at even Haven costs in the summer! lol!) Very Happy

Cyprus is not cheap, especially in summer holidays. You can ski in the morning and then beach it in the afternoon. It's ok but no where as good as winter skiing. Water skiing might be more fun Very Happy

Try Zermat or Passo Tonale (on presna glacier in Italy). I have just come back form Tonale and they halve 5.5 metres of snow on glacier. Should be a great summer season there. Note runs are limited compared to zermat and are reds only.

re: summer skiing Europe?

We went to look at the ski resort in the Trudos Mountains in Cyprus last year in July - it was 80º and certainly not any snow around Confused

Cool

re: summer skiing Europe?

I suppose its enough worrying about snow in winter, then to worry about snow still being there in the summer!
Daft idea, just thought id cost it out! Very Happy
