taking ski boots

HI all
Bit of a thick question Neutral

which is the best way to take ski boots on the plane ? as i have just splashed out on my first pair and would like to get them there in one piece.

I find best way is pack socks and towel between boots, lock up and put in hold on plane.

Get a ski boot bag for them, put things like ski socks, and other soft packaging round them and put them on as normal luggage - I took mine on the plane just 3 days after I bought them.

Oh, pack things down the leg bits to keep them in shape too.

last year I packed mine in my case but other took theirs as hand luggage

In your suit case if its big enough. Failing that buy a boot bag, but make sure you wrap your fleeces, thermals etc around your new shiney boots. It protects the buckles from rough baggage handlers.

I would have thought that wearing them was the best way.

Break them in for the ski slopes.... No extra baggage to carry.

Teeny weeny bit uncomfortable on the plane, but a few brandy chocolates in resort will help!!!!!!!!!
