Doubled the duty on flights..from the 1 st Feb 07 short haul additional £5, long haul additional £10 if you booked after the 6th December 2006 you will be asked by some airlines to pay the additional costs or risk losing the seat. BA have waivered the cost to customers. booked before the 6th (budget) you should be okay.
Sucks.. more tax, and now theres plans to assess you council tax yearly incase you improve your home by adding a con or extention.

As lovers of snow sports its very important that we play our part to protect the snow for our kids and their kids etc, to protect the environment.

It would help a lot if that money went towards improving the railways and getting people of planes for domestic flights. £5 each can help a hell of a lot. Problem is I doubt Brown will spend it on the correct things.
