re: temps

Anything below -10 will require proper gear with all the layers, but it's manageable if the wind isn't too strong. The wind is the hardest to manage, but -10 on a sunny day isn't all that terrible. Below that - it depends on what kind of skier you are. If you ski all the time and are properly dressed you'll be fine, but taking too many breaks will make you freeze Smile

re: temps

Today was about -5 on average - and i was reasonably warm with two thermal tops, thermal bottoms and obviously ski coat and sallopettes.

re: temps

One important thing is to try & wrap up before you get on the chairlifts. It can get very cold especially if there is a cold wind.

You could be sitting on a chair lift for 10-15 mins in minus degrees

Be sure to stretch a little when you get to the top!!!

We bought face masks a few years back. We look like a gang of guerrila's coming down the mountains.....but at least we are guerrila's with less cold faces.

Goggles are a must if it is snowing/windy... & along with the face ...

I agree with the layers also. The moisture management in some clothes these days is incredible!!!
