Bulgaria Ski discussion board

I think that those of you having a slight go at regular posters need to bear in mind that we are aslo probably regular visitors as well, and a lot of negative comments are based on first time experiences. Prehaps we have just become used to the 'downside' that we dont really notice it anymore. You have to bear in mind why go to bulgaria at all
1/ to ski, maybe im a bit funny but that really is my main purpose, therefore im not looking for a gourmet fest, im not looking for 'savoy' standard hotels, im not looking for staff to kiss my A**e at every turn, and i am looking for a bit of peace and quiet from the english 'Watchdog' (complain complain) attitude.
2/ Its cheap, and therefore im realistic about what im going to get, couple of years ago we stayed at the 'Raffles' in singapore, and we got what we paid for there, trouble is few days there costs more than a week in Bulgaria
3/ The people are friendly, often a trait mistaken as ' they must be after something' by us brits, and they are a differant culture, in that they dont do loads of fish and chips and macdonalds type urgers
4/ The food, now not necassarily in the hotels, but bear in mind we brits are not the only gueats in these hotels, in fact we are the minority so why should it all be catering for us?? maybe the greeks turks and serbs dont fancy our food either, ever thought of that, but the food out and about is great, if your brave enough to have a go, i had some fantastic boar this year something ive never had before.
5/ I know my £ will go further, and yes i do like the feel of being 'well off' on holiday where if i tip someone whose been up and down a mountain countless times had some good banter and been a damn fine chap say £20 its not even a couple of pints a day at home, makes him happy makes me happy to and i look forward to seeing them next year.

Im sorry the hotels dont have hairdryers in the rooms or tea making facilities of bars or the beds arent made every day, or the poorly piad workers dont smile every time you enter their prescence, or that the instructor might dare to be a bit grumpy one day, hell if i had to put up with some odf the crap they do id be a bit more than grumpy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and long may we have that freedom, but please please put it in overall context of the holiday experience and dont be a typical brit on hoilday!!!!
