The capacity of the tracks, which have a total length of 65 km, is of 8-9,000 skiers. The forecast cold and gloomy weather will not make the tourists change their mind. Besides, fresh snow is expected today. 'The skiing conditions will be excellent,' announced Resort Manager Ivan Obreikov. He expressed hope that no high winds will blow, for that could make some of the facilities close down. At the moment, the snow cover is almost 20 cm thick, but it is expected that at least other 10 cm within the several days will fall. 'We have enough snow-making machines,' Mr. Obreikov said. 'At average, four to five skiing incidents, caused by reckless tourists, occur on the slopes, and that is the reason why ski-patrols of the Mountain Rescue Service will keep an eye on the skiers . When they spot a reckless skier, they hand them a warning note. Upon a second breach, the tourist's pass for the day will be considered null. There are traffic rules in the mountains similar to the ones on the road. Everyone must bear in mind that they are not alone on the slope and care about the others' safety,' Mr. Obreikov said.
