hi. just got back from a FANTASTIC week at Pamporovo - staying at the Perelik. Third time to Bulgaria but first to pamps - we had a fantastic time. Snow was fantastic (but could probably do with some more by now) and the sun was glorious.
A few tips:
1) There is no piste map on the lift pass, or in any other form small enough to put in your jacket pocket. Print some off these site and take them with you if you are not involved in ski school.

hi. just got back from a FANTASTIC week at Pamporovo - staying at the Perelik.
2) Smolyan is well worth a trip. We got a cab there for a 'proper' night out in Bulgaria and were pleasantly suprised.
3) 'Piter's Irish Bar' is by far the best place to eat on the slopes. Its on the right hand side as you come down on the green from the top. The Ski Instuctors won't take you there - but when you are 'free' it should be your first stop. 2.5lev for a large beer - thats much cheaper than even in town!
try Otchcos at the top of the four man lift - I have spelt it completely wrong but its the building on the left hand side as you get to the top of the four man lift, he is a lovely man and will give you a nice glass of warm wine free of charge, ask him for the special, he has one most days and they are not the menu but well worth trying - but you need to be hungry or share it....
and he is very reasonable with prices, even has a bed upstairs if you are feeling tired!!!!!
try bansko and the gondola you will see then how busy the lifts get, Pamps four man is nothing compared to that one..... and Pamps is much better organised for the lifts, not quite as scary as trying to get on the gondola with everyone pushing from behind....
I actually found the four man in Pamps not as busy as last year, managed to get on most times within 5 - 10 minutes.
Hi just a note about the lift pass - I found one at the reception of the Perelik - I think it cost about 2 lev - detailed pisted map which is on good quality glossy paper 'map folded' so it easily goes in a ski jacket pocket
You must eat at the snezanka tower the food is excellent and so is the veiw, also try the resturant at the top, left of the 4 man lift just next to the snezanka tower or you can turn left after the three man and take the steps up. The pork fillet is fantastic...........and the loo is free.
