Snowshack for boarders ..... drinking lots of bars in resort .... apres ski, white hart, dj's and daks to name a few. Good food at the italian in the perelik and the bbq place at the murgavets .....should get you started ....when you off?
Reports first few weeks of the season were worrying for newbies but I have been reading them for the last 3 years and have skied every day every hol .....its actually looking better snow wise now than recent years. Relax and enjoy and save some snow for me
Sorry Dona can I disagree, the White Hart staff were rude, and the prices in the Danmar far cheaper. The danmar is a 5min walk if you turn left out of the supermarket. The food, staff and log fire are brilliant, half the price of the white hart. Went 24th-1st Feb. By the time we left the snow was perfect, we had six days skiing and all but the end of the green six was great. That run gets battered because everyone goes to return their skis and there is a bit of a frozen stream before the single chair lift. The three Lev Bandstand to the left of the exit opposite the T-bar on the mid station, bottom of Blue 1 and red 13 - is brilliant value for lunch £1.50 for everything including a 500ml beer. Menu is Toasties, Hotdogs and Jacket potatoes. Try the Mulled wine.
Most convnient Loo is the Spider bar opposite Stouchen Lift 2, you can ski to it. Likewise the Eagle bar at the top. They are both clean and free. If you are in a group take walkie talkies, £12 for 2 from tesco, they work great are small and 3AAA cells last the whole week.
Rain in the bottom usually translates to snow higher up, the forcast was rubbish all week, we got 25cm twice and the forcast was rain, it did at 4pm, by midnight it was heavy snow which meant the ice was softened by the rain then capped by the snow, Nirvana, and I was the most cynical bar steward on here, until I got there. Enjoy, we did!
