We say this every year. Do not buy branded cigarettes or tobacco there as it is fake and absolutely disgusting. The packaging may look authentic, but the goods are dreadful.

For tobacco, buy before you go. For cigarettes buy the local brand of Victory. About 25p for 20 and they are fine.

hey , im looking at taking a trip to bansko in the new year to check out buying a apartment for myself..
I have been living in the french mountains snowboarding for the past 6 years but now would like a change and some where new to ride, i understand the size difference etc, but does this place get a good dump of snow.

Yep. Not bad. Long ski season, into late April, early May.

We were there last year buying and can vouch that the snow is really there.

When i was there in Jan 2003 the only skins i could get were licourish ......en the locals were like "What is that stuff.(Golden Verginia)..gim me some Cough-Cough ...............one brand of ciggies was the only choice ......i'm a backy smoker .......sounds healthy dunnit? ...........I dunno if its changed but thats how i found it.

P.S...cuttin down i am ....snot good 4 kids en that.
