My first day of the season. Contrary to my name, I skiied in Vitosha today. It was one of the best days of the year with a blue sky and loads of snow. Well, it is not really the heaviest snow in 20 years, but getting there. Temperature was unknown, and quesses varied between -12 and -20. On the top it got a bit too cold (some wind too) so I cannot say this was the best day for skiing in the year, but it is such a small margin to perfection. Being Sunday, the queus in Vitosha are longer, for some of the lifts up to 30 min, but after all this is 45 min from the capital, on a sunny day, so I expected worse.
If Vitosha was so nice, the rest must have been great today. (Will check out Bansko later in the week). Lucky people who are there.
