transfer time from PLovdiv to Bansko

Anyone know the transfer time from Plovdiv to Bansko?
I am travelling with Balkan holidays - does a Rep meet you at Plovdiv and tell you which coach to get on?

Transfer time is approx. 3.5 hours.

Yes you will be met by a Balkan rep as you pass through customs, and they will be in uniform holding a Balkan board.

They will ask where you are staying and direct you to the relevant coach.

Having not long done that trip it is a good idea to take some sandwiches, biscuits etc etc with you for the journey.

The in flight meal with Balkan is the makings of a rather dry roll. So having departed UK at 12 - 1 pm by the time you get on the bus to Bansko which will arrive there about midnight local time you will be starving. Some of the coaches stop so you can buy crisps etc but not all of them.

There is no inflight entertainment so take a book etc.

Aww Cathy - have to disasgree about the inflight entertainment - Tha Balkan cabin crew had us in stictches - unintentionally! I get the impression that being an air hostess is still something of a glamourous role in Bulgaria! They took it all so seriously and looked so smart, not a polo shirt or bodywarmer in sight lol.

Kind of agree about the food - but it certainly prepeares well for Bulgarian hotel cuisine!

You can also buy some booze from the small shop located right next to the Arrivals exit at Plovdiv airport. It will help u relax on the long & bumpy way to Bansko!

yes I remember flying in the 70's.

Balkan is the only airline I have ever flown in where they paint the interior of the plane by hand with a brush!!!!!
