Thought i was being clever and booking flights and accomodation separatly now im not sure how to get Pamps from plovdiv. Does anyone know if there are taxis or buses which run from outside Plovdiv airstrip. We are flying in 11th Feb approx 19:00. Regards Noel.
There are taxis not sure about a bus,but i know there is one running from the main town depends on wot time you get in... I would try giving the reps on the buses a back hander as bribery seems to be a part of life out there according to my ski instructor..lol.. I would def try a rep a rekon you have no probs for the sake of a few quid... If you grab a cab make sure you agree a price before u get in...
Am going to Bansko and did the same. The hotel has sorted a transfer from Sofia to Bansko for 120 euros return for 2 of us. An e mail to your hotel might be worth your while. Mal
Just to warn you on your return home, that Plovdiv airport is crap. There are no shops or cafe`s, the seats are made of metal and it is absolutely freezing so be prepared.
try to get in touch with your hotel manager and ask him. Mostly they have a small bus. The price should be one lev per kilometer (depends on the time). Enjoy Plovdiv airport, as I remember the duty free is very cheap.

120 euros is expensive for sofia to bansko, we went from Velingrad to Bansko at Christmas and paid 30 leva, each way total for four people in a normal taxi, reckon you could get a much better rate if you can find anyone on here who has a Bulgarian taxi driver as a friend. or a friend of a friend which is what I did... I dont have the details or would let you have them
