travellers cheques or cash

hi,which is the best rate in the banks at borovets.
been informed that the banks take a small commission charge on travellers cheques and cash ,confused

Why not just use the cash machines? Usually you get a really good exchange from your bank.

Otherwise I would advise cash, but still chance of loosing it or worse case senario getting it nicked!

Cash is best I think but too risky for me to carry too much better to use cash machine if your bank doesn't charge for withdrawals my bank first direct doesn't do I use machines but will take out some crisp twenties at airport before I leave England. I also tend to stick other costs like airport transfers or ski packages on visa and worry about that next month ..... Maximise the beer tokens

Forget travellers cheques. They will attract the worst exchange rate and many places simple will not change them. There is no commission on cash at most hotel lobbys and you will get a far better rate than the cheques.

Was in Borovets in Jan and the best rate to be found in resort was Samakov hotel bank. It's down stairs next to ski depot.
Nice crisp 20 pound notes with no commission. Was getting 2.30 plus to the pound.
