I am going to Borovets on the 17th and its my first time sking for 2 years! My first ski experience was in Whistler Blackcomb and there easy slopes are hard! I was told begginner slopes in Canada are the same as intermediate slopes in Europe is this the case?
Should be standardised across the board but there are different gradients of each colour, e.g some blues have sections which could be deemed red and some reds have sections in which could be black but because it's only for a minimal time/length the run will be given the easier colour.
I'm confident that you'll flourish in boro with plenty runs to boost yor confidence
Some slopes can be rather misleading, beginners are best sticking to the green runs to be sure.
The blue slope in Pamporovo that intersects with the green at Peter's Pub is rather confusing. Anyone else believe this deserves to be a red run?
I heard people discussing whether the long straight part of the green run from Studenets to the Ski School should be blue, the part before the run flattens out and you need to start shoving like crazy to the next hill. I didn't think that it should ...

I heard people discussing whether the long straight part of the green run from Studenets to the Ski School should be blue, the part before the run flattens out and you need to start shoving like crazy to the next hill. I didn't think that it should be blue but I'm still a beginner and have only skiied Pamporovo. Any more experienced skiiers have any thoughts?
We've been to Pamps 3 times and we were also in Deux Alps over New Year. Having compared the two, we decided that the red runs in Pamps would be classed as a blue in France - and some might even be green! We've confidently skiied reds in Pamps, but I found the ones in France were much steeper, so I stuck to blues and greens.

The long bit of the green from Studenets is easy when snow conditions are good. However, it's more of a challenge when it's icy - although I see from the webcam that it now has a snow canon at the top, which should ensure that the snow on the big flat rocky bit doesn't get scraped away, leaving treacherous icey patches.
