I'm goin to Bansko in saturday, went to Val D'isare 2 years back, was awesome, massive range of slopes to explore, I went for a week and didnt manage to do anywhere near all the runs I could have.
The nightlife is really good, but I would say that if your expecting a cheap holiday, think again! my advice is buy cheap booze in the stores, get a bit merry in your apartment with your mates then go out, you'll save loads.

Val d'isere is amazing.....lots of great runs and lots of runs of the same colour/grade that link into each other.
Great for Apres Ski, fully catered chalets offer the best value in this resort as it can be expensive to eat out.

Been to Borovets before and wouldn't go back, would def go back to Val d'isere.

I am biased but i would regard the area as the best in Europe. With access to 1500 km of skiing linked by state of the art lift systems, limitless off-piste, high number of bars/restaurants on the mountain, great atmosphere with a fantastic snow record....

on the way up (third of the price !!), the lift pass is pricey also but when you consider what you get Very Happy
Fifteen years running in the area sometimes working, sometimes not, still reckon i have not seen it all....
