DO WALKIE TALKIES WORK ON THE MOUNTAIN?
IT WOULD BE CRIMINAL TO DRINK ALONE!!

hey,yes hey will work! i always take walkie talkies, as do many others.. so my advice would be buy some that have a decent range i.e 10-20km and ones which have plenty of channels to choose from so you can have a private convo rather than sharing conversations with others on the same channel!
at least then you wont be drinking alone!

We also used walkie-talkies last week and they worked brilliantly, well worth taking. Only place where reception was dodgy was at the end of the Stoykite run if everyone else is the other side of the mountain. Remember to give yourself a cool callsign and talk in a 'Generation Kill' voice. If the bell-sellers hear them go off on the morning bus when someone left at the hotel contacts you they will yell probably yell 'Mayday, Mayday' at you for the rest of the week like they did us!re: walkie talkies
