I have just phoned Thompson Travel to ask advise on worse case, they said it is -5 at the moment and it needs to be -7 to snow, they are expecting snow by the end of the week. However if we could not use the learn to ski package AT ALL all week we will be fully refunded at resort. She also said not to qoute her, but they are looking at moving people from one resort to another higher up if it snowed there, including new hotel etc.
Im with Thomsons too... just gonna have to wait and see now but good to know they'll refund the cost of the learn to ski packages if need be. CU in the pub!!
Im pretty sure I can do "apres-ski" without any training at all!!
Pamps IS the lowest Denny and is also the most southern resort in Bulgaria.
I remember last year when it was getting pretty 'thin' in Pamps but Boro and Bansko were 'doing alright thank you'!!!
Minus 7 to snow?? I believe it can snow at higher temperatures.
They are pulling your leg!!!
Also, I very much doubt you'll be refunded in resort. With Thomson having about 600 pax in each resort, and each pack costing on avergae £100, the reps would need to have £60,000 in cash. Very unlikely!!!
Iam sure if you ask there will be no hurricanes in the caribean next year either, I have never heard of the -7 rule and as for moving your accomodation to a higher resort i think if you look you will find all are fully booked, sorry dont want to put a dampner on things but they will have a company line to follow, good luck mate.
