Bulgaria Ski discussion board

Hi all,

we came back from Boro on the 12th feb as usual a brilliant holiday and the bulgarians are fantastic people, it was my 6th visit to Boro and my fiencee's 1st she fell in love and now cant wait to come back (thank god)

after planning to get married in Switzerland we have now changed our minds and because of a mixture of things including the people, nightlife and of corse value for money we are now plannign it all for Boro,

we know the legal implications mean that we cannot get 'married' in Bulgaria as neither of us are bulgarian or can afford to come out for 4 weeks to be classed as a citizen, so the plans are to have a blessing in the hotel ( we are thinking Festa Winter Palace) and then up in the gondola for pictures at the top (and a bit of skiing down the mountain in the wedding gear ) then either hiring a resteraunt out for the evening or having the evening back at the hotel.

i have 2 main queries that locals may be able to help with,

1.
woudl a hotel accomodate this kind of function?

2. how would we go about booking the resteraunt/Evening Function and would a resteraunt be up for this?

any help would eb greatly received.

Jack - good to see you on here... hope you all got back safely.

We've just booked to go back again next year - same week 4 Feb; week before half term. Looking like will be 15 of us next year so a decent group. Ski'd the last two years on those dates, if far from perfect this year. So will chance it again.

I know Josh is keeping in touch with the girls on Facebook - he's loving the attention his profile picture is getting if truth be told. Good luck with the wedding; it would be good if the trips clashed again, although i know you were thinking of a later date.

Have Ian and Lucy got it on yet?

Yeah we got back fine palaver with Lorrain¡¦s bag is still ongoing good old SwisAir¡K.were you on the Manc flight or East Midlands? I heard about an 8 hour delay on the Manc flight?

Awesome!! We need to do some saving to book for next year as were now coming out for 2 weeks I think, but unfortunately yeah we will be coming out later next year depending on prices and there will now be about 30 of us for the wedding ļ

No unfortunately even with all of our efforts Ian and Lucy are not together but Ian is proud of himself as he managed to pull Millie the Rep and he woke up in the Rila again!! I think Rila management should have charged him rent¡Klol
