weight of skis ???

may sound silly but does anyone know the average weight of a pair of skis. Im trying to work out whether its worth taking skis with BA as the carriage is £6.00 per kilo. I normally ski on a pair of 170 carvers. just a rough estimate would be good and if possible the weight of your average ladies ski boots.

any suggestions greatfully recieved. saturday cant come quick enough

thanks Razz

re: weight of skis ???

Bloody heavy - but seriously, boots weigh about 6kg and skis probably the same.

Balkan charged 17 quid for snowboard I think this is a standard carriage - managed to put boots in suitcase and stuff ski jackets in snowboard bag together with ski socks and other bulky things that you don't mind getting a bit creased

re: weight of skis ???

Hi Dawn

From my understanding most airlines dont add the weight off your ski boots as long as you have them in a seperate bag. Otherwise the boots normally weigh up-to 6KG then if you only have 20KG thats 1/3 allready gone. The airlines do charge for Skis carriage though.

Hoipe this helps.
