what 'waterproofer' should i use on my jacket

hi folks, 1st of all well done pete on the 5000. Now the question my ski jacket could do with a wash to freshen it up [dont like febreeze ] , can anyone recommend a waterproofing product and where to buy.

Last year I used a spray called "Fabsil" I got it from my local camping store but you should be able to pick it from army surplus stores too. They also do this in liquid form which you add to your washing machine, however I found the spray worked superbly, even on my sons outfits and they spent most evenings bumboarding and didn't get wet.

If I remember rightly you need to go to an outdoor retailer they sell a washing detergent specifically for doing the job. then gently tumble dry your jacket. Just can't remember the name though.

Millets camping stores was the place I got mine from, just remembered.

I think the stuff is called Tecwash and you can get it from Millets or Tog 24 or Craghopper shops for about £4.50 which will do a few washes. Enjoy!

If it is any help motorbike and Tack shops also sell loads of waterproofing / conditioning stuff in sprays and washes for all sorts of fabrics and boots.

Either go with Nic-Wax or Tec Wash. Use it to reproof all my clothing
